Gulf Coast Rehabilitative Services, Inc was founded to meet the ongoing demand for effective therapy to include individuals and their family.
GCRS strives to empower families and individuals to overcome daily struggles and learn that there is a healthy way to cope. GCRS also offfers services to those individuals that struggle with substance abuse related disorders and mental health issues.
Santos Ramirez is the founder and owner of GCRS, Inc . Mr. Ramirez has over 25 years of experience working with the Substance Abuse Population and Family Systems. He has worked for nonprofit organizations, private hospitals, for profit companies, Methadone Programs, Probation and Corrections Departments. His approaches and beliefs coincide with rehabilitative efforts and in stabilizing the relational family system. He believes in the advocacy for the wellness of the systemic family system and how individuals with substance abuse problems can become a central tool for that process if they develop the skills needed to remain abstinent. Mr. Santos Ramirez is a License Chemical Dependency Counselor, holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and a Master Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University.
Savannah Rosales is the Billing Clerk and Office Manager for GCRS, INC. She brings in over 7 years of administrative experience and expertise in scheduling and billing. Ms. Rosales experience consists of not only scheduling and billing but also coordinating services for individuals with substance use and mental health related disorders. Ms. Rosales is currently working on her Associates in Applied Science and is in the Addiction Studies Program at Del Mar College, she plans on becoming a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by 2022.
Lydia Dyckman has been with GCRS, INC for over two years. Mrs. Dyckman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 1997 with a master’s degree in Counseling. Mrs. Dyckman has worked in psychiatric hospitals, DFPS clients for approximately 15 years and as a Military Family Life Counselor at Fort Hood for approximately 5 years. She specializes in children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her areas of expertise are in sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.
Mr. Paul Martinez is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Mr. Martinez holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Mr. Martinez has accumulated 2 years of experience working with diverse client needs at Nonprofit organizations, University Counseling settings, and at Agency settings. Mr. Martinez uses an integrative therapeutic approach that is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person Centered Therapy. Mr. Martinez believes that every person possesses the ability to overcome and persevere through life’s challenges and stressors. Mr. Martinez believes that client’s can overcome their maladaptive addictive patterns and find recovery through learning adaptive coping mechanisms.
My name is Carlos Verduzco a resourceful individual who is very motivated and rooted in my deep commitment to public services. Retiring after more than ten years from Texas Department of Corrections (McConnell Unit), I still wanted to advocate for those in need so I decided to go back to school in 2018 I received my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice after that I applied and received my License Chemical Dependency License. I’m some one who is mature candid and who has integrity. Every day I work to improve myself and my skills, which is part of maturing and becoming better at what I do to help individuals who are struggling with drugs/alcohol and offering positive ways to re-integrate into the community.
Rebecca Garcia is the administrative assistant for GCRS, INC. You will find her at the front desk with a warm greeting answering your questions, calls and helping you check out at the end of your appointment. She has over 5 years of experience with managing administrative functions for office personnel. Rebecca joined the GCRS, INC team in June of 2021. Her favorite thing about her position is “interacting with our clients and ensuring their counseling services are met.” When she isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family and friends; working on her yard and designing on her cricut.
My name is David Buentello and my professional credentials include: Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and Certified Anger Resolution Therapist. I specialize in CBT addressing anxiety/depression disorders. I also have experience in chemical dependency counseling working various non-profit and private sector organizations locally, including Methadone Maintenance therapy, HIV Medical Case Management, working with the incarcerated population, domestic violence cases, alcohol and drug abuse, co-occurring disorders, and working with troubled youths in an Outpatient setting. I completed a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M Kingsville with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. I also completed a Master’s degree from Texas A&M Kingsville in Counseling and Guidance. My passion is from a practical viewpoint helping people overcome and find answers to their individual situation and believe the answers are “within us”. I enjoy fishing and working with my hands and find this therapeutic and spiritual.
